Mary Edwards Walker was an American feminist, abolitionist, prohibitionist, alleged spy, prisoner of war and surgeon. As of 2016, she is the only woman ever to receive the Medal of Honor.
I would love to hear from anyone who has theories (or researched facts) on why no women have been granted a Medal of Honor since Mary Edwards Walker.
I suspect that we have a generation of women now serving our country who may be considered candidates for the medal. What do you think America?
If we can be drafted as American Women then I believe we should have equal pay, via accolades of this nature as well, personally.
