Jeannette Rankin was the first woman to serve in the U.S. Congress. She helped pass the 19th Amendment, giving women the right to vote, and was a committed pacifist.
My woman of inspiration for the week. I salute Rankin, and strongly advocate for women in the justice system. It is women such as Rankin that have allowed me, and illustrious women such as Patricia Arquette and Jessica Neuwirth, to pick up the fight for Equal Rights In the United States of America, for all women, men & children. #EqualMeansEqual #MarchForERA.
Please have a look at Rankin’s Biography here, and inspire ourselves and all of our children to engage in pacifism as a form of moving government.
