Rebecca Traister is a feminist journalist based in New York who is currently the Writer at Large at New York Magazine and The Cut as well as a contributing editor to Elle magazine.
Traister is also the author of a recent book called All The Single Ladies: Unmarried Women and The Rise of an Independent Nation.
In the book, she chronicles the accomplishments of women who either remained unmarried throughout their lives or married much later in life. I find Traister to be a particularly interesting because she is one of the most outspoken feminist voices out there today along with Gloria Steinem and many other contemporary public figures. In an interview with CBS This Morning two months ago, she talks about the rising power of single women:
